Your guide to living in Motor City

  • 4 min read

Motor City is a low-rise residential property development built by Union Properties.

It has a motor-sport theme and includes residential units, business towers, motor-sports facilities, and a number of retail options. Residents can also enjoy various recreational areas, gyms, communal swimming pools, green parks, and children’s play areas, as well as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and schools all within the complex. Motor City has four key components, known as Green Community Motor City, Uptown Motor City, Business Park Motor City and Dubai Autodrome. These distinct areas offer different experiences and lifestyles, with Dubai Autodrome being a community focal point. You can have a fun day out go-karting and watching various sports such as bike races and car races, including the Porsche ME Cup and Formula Gulf 1000. The area is equipped for both living and working with plenty of entertainment, dining and retail options within a pedestrian-orientated, multi-use environment.

Your living options

Motor City comprises studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, bungalows, townhouses and villas. While Business Park Motor City and Dubai Autodrome are targeted towards business and sports adventure (respectively), the other two developments provide quality homes to families and professionals. Family villas, townhouses, bungalows and luxurious terraced apartments can be found in Green Community Motor City and high-quality apartments and villas are available in Uptown Motor City.

Getting around

Situated within Dubailand, Motor City is just a 20-minute drive from the centre of the city. It has public bus access and taxis are readily available all the time.

Best for

Motor City is home to many multi-national expats. The smaller residences, such as the studios and one-bedroom apartments are ideal for single professionals and couples, while small families favour the larger two and three-bedroom townhouses and villas.

Meet the neighbours

Thomas Lulham has rented his studio for two years.

"I moved to Motor City because it was an affordable option at the time, having only just moved to Dubai from England. At first, I lived in Dubai Marina but soon realised there were more affordable options further afield and Motor City appealed to me because of the sports and activities on offer. My friends regularly come over for days out at Dubai Autodrome where we have fun go-karting, and I also play squash and tennis at the weekends. If you drive it’s really accessible and I feel like I get out and do much more by living away from the center of the city."
